Working with projects
One connection covers every project you can open in the workspaces you picked. Ask Claude to list your projects first; it callslist_projects and then passes the project’s id as project_id to the other tools.
File uploads
Claude uploads files from its code sandbox straight to fileAI storage. The sandbox can only reach domains you allow, so add your instance’s storage domain once. Every other tool works without it.1
Open Capabilities
In Claude, go to Settings → Capabilities. On Team and Enterprise plans, an admin does this in Admin settings → Capabilities.
2
Turn on code execution
Make sure Code execution and file creation is on.
3
Allow the storage domain
Under Allow network egress, choose Package managers and specific domains and add the domain for your instance.
Use the row for the instance in your MCP server URL; see Server URLs.
For how the upload works step by step, see Uploading a file.
Switch or disconnect
- Add another workspace: connect again and tick it. New projects inside a connected workspace need nothing; Claude sees them as soon as you can.
- Disconnect: in fileAI, open Profile → Connected apps and click Revoke. Claude loses access right away.
- Removed from a project or workspace: Claude loses access to it within a minute.
